For the first time in their history, Longwood University’s People Respecting Individuality, Diversity and Equality (PRIDE) organization, Longwood’s chapter of Gamma Rho Lambda (GRL), and Hampden-Sydney College’s Unity Alliance came together for a panel with about 60 in attendance. The panel was coordinated by Alex Abbott, area coordinator for equity, inclusion and programming at Hampden-Sydney College (H-SC) and Dr. Jes Simmons, assistant director of Citizen Leadership and Social Justice Education and “pride mom” at Longwood University.

At one point about a third of the way through “Bohemian Rhapsody,” the new biopic about Freddie Mercury and Queen, a record producer, upset at the band trying to push the film’s title track, states “Mark my words, no one will play Queen!” Now this is a line that the producer probably didn’t say, put into the film to give a fun winking nod to the audience. And it’s a perfect way to encapsulate the film as a whole.

“The Nutcracker and the Four Realms” could have easily been called “The Four Realms”, “The Four Realms of Christmas” or anything other than “The Nutcracker” because it isn’t about the Nutcracker or the story of the Nutcracker. It loosely references past events, but not even in a cohesive way. It has ballet on display for five minutes, but it seems to be using the name simply for popularity points. Because if there’s a pop culture property that is guaranteed to be popular in 2018, it’s the Nutcracker.

Mick Jenkins, a Chicago born rapper like Kayne West and Chance the Rapper, entered the music scene on January 2012 when he released first mixtape called “Mickstape”. After a couple of mixtapes Jenkins then released his first album, “Healing Component,” which touched on some of the same topics from his mixtapes.

Adapting to a new atmosphere serves as a maturation process, leaving families behind to live on their own for the first time in their lives. College athletes are known for their extracurricular work on the field, and it takes time for them to settle down in an unfamiliar setting.

Telltale Games, the studio behind a resurgence of point and click adventure games with licenses like “The Walking Dead”, “Guardians of the Galaxy”, “Minecraft”, and “Batman” tweeted a letter on Sept. 21, to their fans. Unlike the tweets posted earlier in the day, which contained amusing gifs and news on their latest project, this was far more foreboding. They announced to the world that Telltale would be shutting down with a majority studio closure. There are 25 people who would remain to finish a project for Netflix, and over the course of a few weeks, even those people would be fired.

He started to break out as a solo artist when he was featured on songs with Drake, Meek Mill, Post Malone and Gucci Mane. Then he made a collaboration album with Travis Scott called “Hunch Jack”, which released to mixed reviews.

According to The Verge, employees were given just 30 minutes notice before having to leave the building. Not just that they had to leave. They were given 30 minutes notice that they were fired.
