Danny Boyle, Sam Raimi, Martin Scorsese and Robert Rodriguez all started in the hard R department before venturing into kiddy fare. Now horror director Eli Roth (“Knock Knock”, “The Green Inferno”, “Hostel”) has followed in their footsteps with “The House With A Clock In Its Walls”.

Chicago native Noname really differs from other rappers. Instead of going into the studio and creating beats beforehand, she uses live music and normal studio production to get her thoughts across. She’s collaborated with artists such as Chance the Rapper and Saba. After releasing her mixtape in 2016, she now releases “Room 25,” her debut album. “Room 25” is a spectacular album, with great production and storytelling throughout.

His office in Tabb Hall is filled with his prized possessions. A framed jacket given to him as a gift from then president of Venezuela with the colors of the country’s flag sits propped up against the wall under the window. A black motorcycle helmet rests on his shelf with the Venezuela, Spain and United States flags printed on the top and on either side. Directly below it sits a small, six-inch tall trophy holding a tennis ball, fitting perfectly in the cup between the tiny handles.

In 1987, audiences were wowed by the original “Predator” film. Not because it was anything truly groundbreaking, more so because it seemed like something could actually kill Arnold Schwarzenegger. Now, the original film is remembered fondly as a big, brash and gory action blockbuster. But as the years went on and Predators kept returning to the cinema, the quality of their escapades began to drop. Now Shane Black’s “The Predator” is here to, hopefully, show these killers can still... kill.

Somber and coated in shades of white and brown, “White Boy Rick” is the latest in the based on a true story genre to cover the life of a drug kingpin. The angle of this story however, is the fact that Rick was sentenced to life in prison after running a cocaine ring in Detroit in excess of eight kilograms, at the age of just seventeen. It’s a story ripe for film and it mostly succeeds.

Russ is a rapper out of New Jersey who’s one of the new age rappers that combines singing with his rapping. His first album “There’s Really a Wolf” received mixed reception from his audience. “Zoo” is Russ’s second attempt to grab more people’s attention and to become one of the most popular artists out there. Does “Zoo” succeed or is it a failed attempt?

In response to Nike’s 30th anniversary Just Do It campaign starring Colin Kaepernick, people are burning their apparel that belongs to the brand. The campaign surrounded the slogan “Believe in something, even if it means sacrificing everything” - a reference to Kaepernick’s career.

Generating mass exposure for its “small and close-knit community” according to its online history and overview page, Longwood has experienced an enrollment increase with over 4,399 undergraduates, leaving residential life a major concern.
