It’s appropriate to have fear for a director when it comes time for their sophomore film. While a great first outing is a good sign for a long career, the most promising directors have been broken thanks to a shoddy sophomoric outing. Jordan Peele, the Academy-Award-winning writer/director of “Get Out,” does not have to worry about a sophomoric slump because he has “Us.”

Tedashii is Christian rapper from Houston and is a member of the 116 Clique, which includes artists such as Lecrae and Andy Mineo, both of whom have worked with Tedashii before. “Never Fold” is Tedashii's fifth studio album, following his 2014 release, "Below Paradise." While the production on this album is good, Tedashii does have moments of inconsistency in his lyricism.

After getting hit by a car and getting extensive rehabilitation in Los Angeles, Stephen Marion began reflecting and decided to move back to his hometown, Farmville. Marion grew up in Farmville and graduated from Prince Edward County High School in 1999, then attended Bard College in New York.

The Houston based artist known as Solange, or Beyoncé’s younger sister, didn’t breakout until her 2016 album, “A Seat at the Table.” The album received a lot of praise and put Solange on the map as an artist to watch. Now she’s releasing her third studio album, “When I Get Home,” with some interesting features, such as Playboi Carti and Gucci Mane.
