As the flurries fell on Friday, Feb. 12, members of Longwood's Black Student Association (BSA), Environmental Club and Alpha Phi Alpha, Inc. shivered at a table in front of the Chi Fountain with signs promoting their water drive in response to the crisis occurring in Flint, Michigan.
Nothing came free on Tuesday night, except for the t-shirts, as the Lancers fell 89-70 (6-19, 3-13) to the No. 6 High Point Panthers (9-15, 8-7) in Willett Gym on Longwood’s Pink Out game. After scoring in the first 8-of-9 possessions, the Panthers’ held the lead for all 40 minutes.

UPDATE 1:07 p.m. - After a major water line broke at 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning, crews worked to open all four affected buildings. Currently, Longwood's Greenwood Library is available to students as well as the Center for Communication Studies and Theater (CSTAC), while Bedford and Wygal Halls remain closed indefinitely.
