Judging by the media, we seem to look at coffee as our only vital supplement when we are faced with a long, hectic day of studying and cramming in those papers due by midnight. But realistically speaking, who actually turns to coffee as their form of water and who substitutes coffee in other methods? UPDATE 1:07 p.m. - After a major water line broke at 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning, crews worked to open all four affected buildings. Currently, Longwood's Greenwood Library is available to students as well as the Center for Communication Studies and Theater (CSTAC), while Bedford and Wygal Halls remain closed indefinitely.

I'm thankful for having such an amazing opportunity to work with so many awesome people through my time with The Rotunda, and I'll never forget any of the lessons I learned. It's been a wild ride for sure with ups and downs around every corner, from working till 4 a.m. on Tuesday nights, to covering the Big South Tournament for Longwood basketball. I wouldn't trade any of them in for anything else, maybe a Lamborghini, but that's close to it.

When faced with a series of blasts of snow as this past week has given Longwood, it is easy to forget that spring sports are in full swing. Coach Bruce Myers and his 3-1 women's tennis team had little time to enjoy the winter weather as they traveled to Annapolis, MD over the weekend to play the Naval Academy.
