In this week’s Student Government Association (SGA) meeting, one student was sworn into office and the senate announced a Town Hall meeting.
In New Business, SGA President Brandon Bowen officiated the proceedings as Senator Jones took the oath.
The student will now assume their role after being sworn in and will begin their position effective immediately.
In the President’s report, Bowen announced that SGA will be hosting a Town Hall on Wednesday, September 30 from 5:30-7:00 p.m. in Jarman Auditorium. The event will be free and open to campus with masks and social distancing protocols in place.
In the Historian’s report, Cole Pillow announced that there are currently 187 clubs on campus and more are in the process. Students can go to lancerlink.longwood.edu to read the complete list of recognized organizations on campus.
The next SGA meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 6 at 3:45 p.m. on Zoom.
