Longwood Gaming Club
$364.78
Funds are for prizes at Extra Life, a fundraising event for the Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters.
SGA President Haleigh Pannell made a friendly amendment to cut the total in half to $182.39, citing sufficient funds to pay for the prizes in the club's agency account.
Vice President Catherine Swinsky opposed the amendment, in order to hear more conversation on the request. Pannell opted to make the amendment unfriendly.
Vicki Coleman, president of Longwood Gaming Club, said due to the event being this Saturday, November 2, that she had already purchased the items in order for them to arrive on time.
According to SFC bylaw Article IV Section V Sub Section L, "The following shall not be appropriated from the SFC fund: If an organization has already made a commitment before funds are allocated."
In light of the bylaw, the allocation was opposed by SFC.
Executive Treasurer, Samuel Torpy, and President, Haleigh Pannell, go through the bylaws to find out if SFC can give the Gaming Club money if they have already spent money for the event.
