Kavanaugh should be found guilty

Kavanaugh

Brett Kavanaugh, who is expected to be the next Supreme Court justice, has found himself under fire after a series of past allegations have come out about him. After a lengthy judiciary hearing, senators had the chance to ask him questions and most of these senators were Democrats.

Christine Blasey Ford, a woman who knew Kavanaugh in high school, alleged he had sexually assaulted her at a party when they were teenagers. Since the accusation has come out, two other women have come out and made accusations against him.

Deborah Ramirez, the second woman to come forward made a claim saying Kavanaugh exposed himself to her while she was drunk at a party in college, according to CNN.

The third woman, Julie Swetnick, is the latest to come forward with accusing Kavanaugh of sexual misconduct, according to CBS News.

Kavanaugh has denied these accusations far and wide, but are these accusations enough to stop him?

He was not many people’s favorite Supreme Court choice pick, especially for people who are in the Democratic party. He was picked by President Donald Trump and has very conservative views, which some are saying could be an issue in the future.

With these accusations coming out, many people are left having to pick sides, which would be to either believe the accuser or believe the accused.

Senate Democrats have said the allegations require a longer delay of Kavanaugh's confirmation vote and have called on Trump to order an FBI investigation into the alleged incidents, according to USAtoday.

Trump does not want to delay the hearing and wants it to move forward as planned.

Ford has brought up the alleged attack before in couples therapy with her husband and therapist years ago, according to PBS.

"Ford describes being sexually assaulted by members of 'an elitist boys school' who went on to become 'high-ranking' in society," according to the therapist’s notes.

Ford said she was afraid to come forward because of the attacks she would receive once coming forward to the public, which she has gotten.

Trump has denounced the accusations against Kavanaugh, saying, “Let her testify, or not, and TAKE THE VOTE!"

He does not believe the allegations against Kavanaugh should delay his acceptance as the next Supreme Court justice. Trump also said these allegations were made by the “radical left wing” politicians and lawyers, according to CNN.

Trump said, in response to the claims about Kavanaugh made by the two women, "There is a chance this could be one of the single most unfair, unjust things to happen to a candidate for anything.” He dismissed the allegations as "totally political."

Since his comments about Ford, women and men have been sharing their stories of sexual assault and harassment online, talking about why they waited to tell people about their assault, or did not tell anybody at all.

They also want to stop Kavanaugh from being appointed, so they want everyone to take the claims that have been made seriously because that is what the victim deserves. Many are upset over the way some politicians seem to be handling this situation, seemingly pushing the allegations under the carpet and wanting to move forward without an investigation.

Still, people are still somehow claiming that everything she is doing is fake, and that it is all in the name of politics, trying to tear Kavanaugh down. Ford has credible sources and a strong testimony, which she delivered on Sept. 27.

The excuses that Kavanaugh has made to deny these allegations are not credible, nor are they reliable. He also stated that the accusations that were coming out about him are a "national disgrace." Kavanaugh still refuses to let the FBI investigate further into the accusations.

Trump's comments, and other comments from the senators who want to appoint him, are rushing past the normal process of confirming the accusers stories and are more focused on getting him appointed than justice being served for the women.
