The Piedmont Regional Drug and Gang Task Force arrested three men and one women in relation to an ongoing drug investigation that resulted in a search warrant at a residence in the 500 block of Hill Street in Farmville, Va., according to a press release by the Virginia State Police.
On Monday, March 26, both Virginia F. Morgan, age 22 from Richmond, Va., and Micah Golemon-Mercer, 21, of Alexandria, Va. was arrested and charged with one felony count of possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute. Golemon-Mercer is a Longwood student, according to Longwood student directory.
With a search warrant, the task force seized marijuana from inside a residence in the 500 block of Hill Street in Farmville where Morgan was arrested, charged with one felony count of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, she was released on bond.
The press release stated the investigation led to a residence hall on Longwood’s campus where additional marijuana was seized at the residence and more than $8,000 in cash and Mercer was arrested. Mercer was charged with one felony count of possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute.
On Tuesday, March 27, related to the investigation, both Tristin S. Harding, 21, of Chesapeake, Va., and Charles J. Keenan, 21, of Virginia Beach, Va., were both arrested. The two were arrested for possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, possession of Schedule I or II illegal narcotics, and possession of a firearm while in possession of a Schedule I or II narcotics.
The Piedmont Regional Drug and Gang Task Force is comprised of the Farmville Police Department, Longwood University Police Department, Buckingham County Sheriff's Office, Cumberland County Sheriff's Office, Prince Edward County Sheriff's Office and the Virginia State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation's Appomattox Field Office.
Virginia State Police said the investigation remains ongoing with additional charges pending.
