A lot of people think that marijuana doesn’t affect your health, but it turns out it actually does. Has anyone ever told you that marijuana doesn’t kill you? Well, it may not kill you, but it definitely can have effects on you that can lead to serious harm.
Marijuana can affect many parts of your body – especially your heart, lungs and brain.
It makes your heart beat rapidly as your blood pressure drops, and it has been shown that people who smoke marijuana have a four times greater risk of a heart attack within only an hour of smoking.
The main ingredient in marijuana, THC, can weaken your immune system and show problems of neurological development in children born to mothers who used marijuana when pregnant.
It can also cause respiratory problems, hallucinations, disorientation, delusions and impaired memory.
In my opinion, why do something that doesn’t benefit you in any way other than making you feel good for that moment?
It’s illegal for a reason, and while it may not directly kill you, it can still cause harm to you and your health..
Also, if you get caught with illegal possession of marijuana you will get into serious trouble with the law. This can, in turn, hinder your future when finding jobs and such.
I’m not saying that marijuana is always bad for you, but when abused, it is. It should be used for medical reasons like slowing down AIDS. It can also help with depression, anxiety and more.
