DVD Releases this Week: Superheroes, Doctors and Families

"Iron Man 3" – The most intense story in the "Iron Man" trilogy. As Tony becomes more involved in his own Iron Man suit than he does his real life, his relationships and family are put in jeopardy when the Mandarin attacks his home. Now abandoned in the middle of nowhere with only a young boy as a friend, Tony must find his way back to Pepper and rebuild not only his suits, but himself as well. (Robert Downey Jr., Guy Pearce, Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle)

"Redemption" – A deeper look at the canners (the men and women who live off of redeemed bottles and cans collected from the streets) of New York City. This documentary focuses on them and the rough and harsh lives that they suffer through. The film looks at them through an intimate and post-industrial view. (no listed cast)

"Law and Order: Special Victims Unit Season Fourteen" – One way to start off a season? Have a police captain wake up to a dead hooker in his bed, and then see how the audience reacts. SVU kept the ball rolling throughout the season with every bump and rock that could be thrown at the detectives. As if that wasn’t enough, they also collided with Criminal Intent for a crossover episode. Over 300 episodes and going strong. (Mariska Hargitay, Danny Pino, Kelli Giddish, Richard Belzer, Ice-T)

"Doctor Who: The Complete Seventh Series" – The Doctor is in! Actually, he’s out. Season seven was the final season for the newest doctor in a line of famous men. Matt Smith bid farewell in the season finale and left room for the twelfth doctor, Peter Capaldi, and also left his companion, Clara Oswald, for him. A new companion and a new doctor? Two for the price of one show. (Matt Smith, Karen Gillan, Arthur Darvill)
