“Dangerous Territory” It is another day at Carrie’s internship in the city before a hot new guy walked in. How many can there be in her life? Except he might not be as new as we think. His name is George, and Carrie has known him since she was four-years-old apparently. George, of course, immediately invites her to his mom’s “soirée,” and shockingly, Carrie says no. Despite her excuse of being busy, everyone knows it was Sebastian who held her back.
In the world outside of Carrie, her dad has lost his wedding ring, but it might have been a good thing for him and his process of moving on. The Mouse and Maggie have both made up with their boyfriends, even though Maggie’s boyfriend might just be hiding in a closet of denial.
Back to Carrie, taking her driving test for the first time, spots Sebastian behind her vehicle making out with another girl. Well, not just any girl, but her enemy: Donna. Looks like she should have accepted George’s invitation after all. Better late than never, Carrie calls George back to accept his offer.
Carrie finds a comrade in her boss as she attempts to pick out her dress for the soirée while The Mouse finds a comrade in Walt when stressing over her skills in bed. Somehow, Walt believes he can help solve The Mouse’s problem. I guess he does know something about how to please a man.
When faced with a dress disaster, Carrie’s fashion skills take over.
What she thought was a cocktail party is actually a formal event, so she transforms the knee-length dress she is wearing into a long gown. She’s so fabulous, even at 16 years old.
What seems like just a fancy party turns dangerous pretty quickly when George’s ex-girlfriend shows up straight from rehab with her claws out. However, Carrie handles it nicely, as she typically does. That is until she overhears George’s mom trash talking Carrie’s background, which causes Carrie to run out with George chasing after her. They soon discover that they both might actually work together in spite of their separate upbringings.
A second chance is offered when they go back to the party and George’s mom has a talk with Carrie. She discovers that Carrie’s mother was a close friend of hers before she moved away from the city, and Carrie unravels new stories from her mother’s past, forming a whole new respect between the two ladies.
The show ends with The Mouse and Maggie happy in their relationships, Carrie’s father getting yet another woman’s phone number and Carrie adorably teaching George how to drive. Looks like all territories are safe. For now.
