Miami Heat Extend Their Home Win Streak to 17

On Wednesday, April 4, the Miami Heat beat the Oklahoma City Thunder 98-93 to extend their home win streak to 17 games, making it the longest home winning streak in the NBA this season. However, neither winning nor losing this game affected either of these teams' chances at the playoffs. Both teams are placed second in their division, with the third place team at least five games behind in each division.

LeBron James led the Heat, scoring just over a third of the team's points by himself, ending up with 34. He also had seven rebounds, 10 assists, four steals and one block in Wednesday's contest. Dwayne Wade came in behind James with 19 points. On the other side of the ball, Kevin Durant carried most of the weight for the Thunder, scoring 30 of their 93 points. He had a little help though in the form of Russell Westbrook who came out with 28 points on the night.

The game stayed close throughout its entirety, only being decided by five points in the end, with the lead changing teams only a handful of times throughout regulation. The game was close enough that it could have easily gone the other way, but the Thunder couldn't seem to capitalize on any opportunities to equalize the score, followed by a couple fouls at the end and that was that. If there is one thing that is for sure, these are two teams you should definitely look out for when the play offs begin.
