Resident Assistants from the Longwood Landings decided to take Spring Break and make it last a little bit longer by organizing a campus- wide pool party on Friday, March 30 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Willet Pool. Free refreshments and prizes were offered at the event.
Entering the event, students were given raffle tickets to be eligible to receive free prizes throughout the night, including but not limited to the trilogy book series of "The Hunger Games" along with a movie card, female and male beauty products, a laundry basket and more.
Resident Assistant at the Longwood Landings Shay Hunter said, "We did a pool party last year, and as a resident, I went to it, and it's open to the entire campus, and all the RAs who did it from the same community and everyone who went to it was, like, 'This is so much fun. We want to do it again.'"
Commenting on the success of the event, Hunter said, "I think a big thing is the pool's not open during the weekend, and so to get the opportunity to go to the pool on a Friday night is a huge event."
"I hope everyone doesn't want to leave, actually. That's the true sign of success, that every- one's enjoying it and wants to keep enjoying it," said Hunter.
The Willet Pool is open and free to the public on Mondays to Thursdays from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
