From Monday, April 16 to Friday, April 20, Longwood students will be able to engage in a week-long celebration of various arts activities, ranging from poetry readings to choral recitals to dance parties and much more. All events are free and open to the public, save the play, "Steel Magnolias." Ticket prices for "Steel Magnolias" are $5 for Longwood students, $6 for Longwood faculty and staff and $8 for general admission.
"In case of inclement weather, activities will probably be moved to the Grand Dining Room in the dining hall," reported the Longwood website. As detailed on the Longwood website, "Arts Week is sponsored by the Arts Council and funded by the Sprague Cultural Enrichment Fund, created through a bequest from Dr. Rosemary Sprague, a longtime English professor who died in 1991."
