Bubba Wins the Masters

This past Sunday in Augusta, Ga., people witnessed one of the most thrilling finishes to the Masters. The tournament came down to two players, Bubba Watson and Louis Oosthuizen, who faced off in sudden death after finishing the day at 10-under. Both Watson and Oosthuizen came from behind throughout their final 18-hole round, Watson finishing with four straight birdies on the back nine to redeem his early round triple bogey, and Oosthuizen who made a double eagle on the par five second hole.

The first double eagle of his career, Oosthuizen looked to be only the second player to win the Masters with a double-eagle in the final round. Tied, following an exciting final round, both players went to sudden death, replaying holes 18 and 10. Each had a makeable putt on Hole 18 in sudden death, yet each missed, only to set up one of the most talked about shots in Masters' history.

On number 10, Watson hooked his tee shot into the trees, and it appeared he would have no shot at reaching the green. According to ESPN.com, Watson told his caddie Ted Scott, "If I have a swing, I've got a shot." With a trail of fans leading from the woods toward the green on number 10, Oosthuizen watched as Watson hit an impossible shot onto the green. "Where I stood from, when the ball came out, it looked like a curve ball. Unbelievable shot. That shot he hit definitely won him the tournament," said Oosthuizen. Watson said he just had to "hook it about 40 yards, hit about 15 feet off the ground, until it got under the tree and started rising." It sounds so easy. He would then make a par putt to win, after Oosthuizen came up short of the putting surface on his second shot, giving him merely a putt for bogey. His first Master's win, a man named "Bubba" is now the owner of a green jacket
