What to Do at the Gym

Halloween has once again come and gone, however those extra candy calories remain. One pound of fat is equivalent to 3,500 calories and most individuals burn about 100 calories per ten minutes of moderate to high intensity exercise.

You may be wondering what exercises you can do to burn those extra calories you have been taking in over the past few weeks. When going to the gym, you could walk, jog, orrun on the track or treadmill.. You could also use the elliptical, stair stepper, rower, etc. While in the gym, donot forget to pay a visit to the weights: building muscle mass is important, and can help you do everyday activities such as picking up books, bending down, cleaning, and moving from one location to another. Building muscle will also help increase your metabolism, which can help burn off some of those extra calories. Ladies, don't let the fear of becoming bulky stop you from lifting weights;o not believe that it is impossible for women to become bigger without the help of other drugs. Especially don't forget about the Willett Hall Pool! You can go for a swim from 5 p.m. through 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
