Ben Maitland, Sports Editor (4-0):
-No. 3 LSU over No. 25 Mississippi State: It's a "battle in the Deep South" with the Tigers coming out on top. Look for the Tigers to have the upper hand on both sides of the ball.
-No. 5 Florida State over No. 1 Oklahoma: The Seminoles get the best of the Sooners and Landry Jones in the first big upset of the year. FSU has the medicine to cure "Sooner Fever."
-Saints over Bears: Drew Brees finds his groove on Sunday at home. An overpowering Saints air attack gets the best of Chicago.
-Eagles over Falcons: Mike Vick comes back to Atlanta and blows the roof off. His numbers this Sunday night will be astronomical.
Peter Mancuso, Asst. Sports Editor (3-1):
-No. 25 Mississippi State over No. 3 LSU: MSU is coming off of a tough SEC loss, but will come back strong to pull the upset.
-No. 1 Oklahoma over No. 5 Florida State: The game will be much closer than last year's meeting between these two teams. Landry Jones will just be too much for FSU.
-Saints over Bears: After the opening day loss, I don't see New Orleans losing at home. Drew Brees won't let that happen.
-Falcons over Eagles: Atlanta didn't play well last week, but expect a heavy dose of Michael Turner. Plus, Matty Ice doesn't lose at home too often.
Dr. Tim Pierson, Vice President of Student Affairs (4-0):
- No. 25 Mississippi State over No. 3 LSU: I like MSU in the major upset of LSU. It is the first home game for MSU and it is time for an upset!
-No. 5 Florida State over No. 1 Oklahoma: Number 1 will fall to the Seminoles who are not in trouble with the NCAA at the moment. FSU in a close one!
-Saints over Bears: ‘Da Bears had a great opening in their upset of the Falcons but not in the Superdome. It's all SAINTS!
-Eagles over Falcons: The Eagles and Michael Vick continue to roll. Great homecoming for Vick as he will run all over the Falcons!
Guest: Jeff Halliday, Professor of Communication Studies (3-1):
- No. 3 LSU over No. 25 Mississippi State: The Tigers' first road game will be quite a test as the Bulldogs look to rebound from a crushing loss to Auburn. That being said, chants of 'Geaux Tigers' will drown out Starkville's cowbells. Tigers win.
-No. 1 Oklahoma over No. 5 Florida State: FSU's offense has put up 96 total points versus a pair of dismal opponents, but the Sooners are no pushovers. The Seminoles may be Oklahoma's toughest challenge this season, but Boomer Sooner will reign supreme thanks to Landry Jones & Dominique Whaley.
-Saints over Bears: The Bears' defense was very impressive at home against the flightless Falcons in Week 1, but the Saints offense is much more formidable. The key for New Orleans is to limit Chicago do-it-all RB Matt Forte. Drew Brees will do his part in a Saints home win.
-Eagles over Falcons: The Eagles were not at all challenged in a Week 1 win over the Rams and more of the same can be expected this Sunday night. Philly has yet to earn their 'Dream Team' title, but Vick and his explosive offense will outplay the Falcons.
